This position is full time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 2120 Park Place Suite 200, El Segundo, CA. Employees are required to work some days onsite and some days from home.

We offer 2 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday.  Training will be conducted onsite.

If you are within commutable distance to the office at El Segundo, CA, you will have the flexibility to work from home and the office in this hybrid role* as you take on some tough challenges.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, process and maintain new member or group enrollments
  • Respond to member eligibility or group questions and verify enrollment status
  • Reconcile eligibility discrepancies, analyze transactional data and submit retroactive eligibility changes
  • Research errors by comparing enrollment error reports against system information along with records from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior eligibility/enrollment experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a related environment (i.e. office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using phones and computers as the primary job tools

 

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Reside within commutable distance to the office at El Segundo, CA
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

California Residents Only: The hourly range for this is $16.00 – $28.27 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
