In this Lead Technology Product Manager role, not only will you be responsible for the development, communication, and implementation of the organization’s cloud security product strategy, but you will passionately lead and simplify our cloud security adoption user experience.  

 

The Principal Technical Product Manager is responsible for multiple value streams.  The product manager manages and prioritizes the content produced by development teams to ensure it meets engineering, business and customer needs and continually searches for ways to improve efficiency. Product managers ensure that there is no disconnect between the tactical execution and customer needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive product vision and strategy roadmap for security transformation 
  • Lead the product across its entire lifecycle using industry best practices – performance, expansion, financial health, roadmap, and end-of-life
  • Serve as security product champion to guide leadership-level alignment across the enterprise 
  • Apply security domain expertise to credibly represent, manage and engage with business(es)
  • Partner with stakeholders to enable successful development, delivery, and adoption of technology solutions
  • Know the market, to effectively identify and frame new technology products within the cloud security domain
  • Diffuse conflict by driving consensus based in the greater good of the product
  • Guide the team through Program Increment (PI) planning events; including capacity planning, prioritization, refinement, and scheduling of work

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of technology-powered product solution delivery and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery experience
  • 5+ years in a role that made decisions across an enterprise, and not just one or two business units
  • Demonstrated experience navigating and delivering solutions in Fortune 50-sized organizations
  • Proven experience influencing and driving prioritization with security and technology stakeholders across the Enterprise
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure industry standard architecture and design patterns are followed
  • Ability to influence “Definition of Done” and ensure it is clearly understood and articulated to stakeholders across the enterprise
  • Negotiates win-win solutions across teams and lines of business (cross application / cross portfolio)
  • Effectively communicates and builds relationship across multiple products teams, stakeholders, and leadership

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Acumen with product management tools like Aha, Rally, GitHub, and an understanding of DevOps
  • Basic knowledge of application security capabilities (ex: static, dynamic, secrets, open source)
  • Basic knowledge of how APIs function and how to secure them
  • Conceptual understanding of AI and large language models  
  • Basic knowledge of “shift left” CI/CD automation techniques and security tools
  • Conceptual understanding of public cloud virtual machines and container solution offerings (Any Cloud Service Provider. (Preferred- AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Basic understanding of Kubernetes and/or Docker Containers
  • Basic understanding of securing Infrastructure as Code
  • Ability to understand, document and describe expected outcomes, measure business value delivered, and show empathy for user experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
