Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead QA Initiatives: Take charge of QA efforts for a large financial system, including web portals, batch processes, and web services/APIs
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to discuss solutions, articulate issues, and negotiate trade-offs in a clear and concise manner
  • Ensure Quality: Work closely with the development team to adopt established testing standards and practices, ensuring quality in all products and solutions
  • Be the End-User Advocate: Design, execute, and maintain regression test suites with an end-user perspective
  • Be the Go-To Expert: Serve as the functional point of contact for collaborating teams and stakeholders, developing effective solutions that meet end-user and client business requirements
  • Support and Troubleshoot: Analyze and resolve production issues, including triaging data processing jobs and web applications
  • Lead Deployments: Oversee QA efforts during production deployments and provide functional and non-functional sign-off on releases
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
  • Extensive Experience: 8+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience in an agile product development environment
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience in testing web applications, batch jobs, and web services/APIs
  • SQL Knowledge: Good working knowledge of SQL and understanding of relational data models
  • CI/CD Expertise: Experience building, maintaining, and executing regression test suites to support CI/CD development
  • Automation Skills: Proficiency with QA automation software and frameworks like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, JMeter, Postman, SOAPUI, and test management software
  • Communication Skills: Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize facts and findings into meaningful information
  • Attention to Detail: Proven solid attention to detail, analytical mindset, and result-oriented approach to execution
  • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously with limited direction while exercising good judgment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Domain Experience: Experience in the banking, financial, or healthcare domain
  • Cloud Knowledge: Experience in testing applications deployed on public cloud infrastructure
