The Enterprise Risk Management Analytics & Reporting Analyst will be responsible for assisting in developing and delivering critical regulatory and risk metrics & analytics across the Bank’s risk areas through regular risk reporting, customized risk analysis, and risk tools. This will include assisting the Associate Director in building out robust, systematic, and efficient workflows, processes, and procedures around the production of risk analytics for financial & non-financial risk, risk capital and regulatory reporting.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in building out and managing a comprehensive set of reports and presentations for regulators, internal risk committees and senior leadership across Risk and the Bank leadership
  • Deliver risk indicators, analytics & insights based on deep understanding of the Bank’s lending businesses
  • Support the interpretation of internal and external policies and regulatory requirements relevant to the analytics and reporting mandate
  • Work with various internal and external data owners to identify and utilize available data sources to fulfill analytical needs
  • Ensure strong governance and effective controls across risk reporting activities and information in accordance with the Bank and regulatory standards
  • Provide challenge of new or modified activity and business change risk assessments

Required Qualifications: 
  • 7+ years of experience with Microsoft Office PowerPoint (creating and executing presentations), and Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Formatting, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience with programming for extract transform load (ETL) operations and data analysis (including performance optimization) using languages such as, but not limited to, Python, SQL and R
  • 5+ years of experience in developing data visualization and business intelligence solutions using tools such as, but not limited to, Tableau, PowerBI, and front-end technologies and languages
  • 3+ years of experience in second line of defense governance roles, in assessing and / or implementing change management programs at banking institutions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in second line of defense governance roles, in assessing and / or implementing change management programs at banking institutions
  • Prior regulatory experience or experience in assisting with regulatory examinations
  • Knowledge of banking products, processes, and regulations in a risk environment
  • Familiarity with financial products including commercial and consumer loan products
  • Ability to interpret governmental regulations, regulatory guidance, and manuals
  • Ability to effectively interact with internal risk experts, business units and various stakeholders outside of Risk, including senior management
  • Solid written communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently
  • Willing to work Monday – Friday at the office location in Draper UT / Salt Lake City UT Regional Area

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
