Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and maintain the infrastructure and systems that enable the collection, storage, processing and analysis of large datasets
  • Design, construct and manage scalable data pipelines that move and transform data from different sources
  • Automate the process of data collections, processing and curation to ensure efficient data workflow
  • Setup and manage the infrastructure for large-scale data storage (e.g. Cloud Storage, data lakes, data warehouses) to ensure scalability, security and accessibility
  • Design and manage relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases optimizing their performance and security
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT using Cloud technologies (e.g. Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory)
  • Ensure data quality by implementing validation checks, de-duplication processes and resolving data inconsistencies
  • Work closely with data scientists, business analysts & product owners, and software engineers to ensure data infrastructure meets business needs
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data processing and transformation
  • Optimize database queries and data processing jobs to improve performance and reduce cloud costs
  • Implement measures to ensure data security and storage compliance with relevant regulations (e.g. HIPAA)
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering role
  • Experience with SQL (e.g. SQL Server, Synapse, Snowflake) and no-SQL databases
  • Expertise in Azure Cloud, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory
  • Knowledge of version control systems like Git
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for data engineering (e.g. Python, Java, Scale, SQL)
  • Proven ability to design and implement efficient data models for transactional and reporting systems
  • Proven ability to diagnose issues in data pipelines and develop efficient solutions
  • Proven ability to clearly explain technical solutions to non-technical and semi-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience with RxClaim data
