Primary Responsibilities:
- Comprehends technical documentation and applies that knowledge to business solutions. Under supervision is able to perform work that is varied and that may be somewhat difficult in character, but involves some responsibility, attention to detail and self-direction
- Ability to utilize Epic’s technical analyst tools/functionality (ex- perform medication and diagnosis loads regularly, use utilities, etc.)
- Identifies system issues that arise in the application area as well as issues that impact other application teams, and work with them to resolve the issues (ex- error logs, etc.)
- Maintains regular communication with the Epic technical support representatives including attending various EpicCare EHR meetings
- Monitoring the ticket queue, reaching out to the end users to ensure clear understanding of reported issues, collaborating with the informatics team members to address tickets when appropriate, and closing tickets in accordance with defined Service Level Agreement (SLA) guidelines
- Serves as a liaison between the other IT Teams (Desktop, Server, Network) and Epic Team to implement and coordinate the technical projects
- Re-directs operational requests to appropriate team leadership. Conveys any conflicting enhancement requests/project priorities to Clinical Applications Manager, for additional feedback as needed
- Attends specific strategic initiative meetings as needed to provide subject matter expertise and guidance
- Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives
- Enhances professional growth and development through educational programs, seminars, etc. Epic certification(s) must be kept current, and includes completing NVT (new version training) and re-certification as required
- Attends a variety of meetings, conferences, and seminars as required or directed

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of skills and experience as an administrator or analyst in a combination of healthcare and IT
- Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of Information Technology processes
- Knowledge of systems implementation and healthcare experience with the ability to develop and apply system solutions to operational requirements
- Demonstrates flexibility, with respect to changing end-user business needs (some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required to perform in this role helpful)
- Demonstrates critical thinking; ability and willingness to see things in an open-minded way and examine an idea or concept from as many angles as possible
- Demonstrates excellent technical, communication, organizational, interpersonal skills; ability to communicate information clearly and concisely with project team members and subject matter experts, also gains trust and establishes effective relationships with those they are working with
- Proven self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrates ability and willingness to learn new software and systems
- Demonstrates dependability; ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure that they are completed in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
- Demonstrates initiative; the ability and willingness to recognize assignments or tasks that need to be completed and seek out additional assignments or tasks, and to help others
Preferred Qualification:
- Current Epic certification(s) or proficiencies/badges in the area of support (EpicCare, Radiant, and Referrals)

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
