Primary Responsibilities:
- Remove blockers and impediments for team and Product, demonstrates accountability and ownership for resolving impediments and blockers (Identify, plan, resolve)
- Accountable for quality of backlog and value delivery
- Leader for team; can identify gaps in delivery process and solve for them
- Coaches teams on lean agile principles and technical best practices for enhanced value delivery
- Coaches and supports team and stakeholders on Agile best practices and principles, helping them to understand their roles and responsibilities within the Scrum framework
- Tracks and manages sprint and release readiness; maintains feature and user story data quality; ensures transparency and visibility on development process
- Facilitates and ensures team participation in scrum events (Sprint planning, Daily Scrum, Retrospective, Sprint review, Backlog Refinement)
- Promotes health of the team by creating positive and sustainable pace of delivery
- Develops an understanding of the Product and ensures team has understanding of Product
- Facilitates frequent trainings and workshops for team and broader organization
- Creates relationships with the broader organization beyond scrum teams, building relationships with engineering, product and business partners
- Active participant in the scrum master team
- Track project progress and assess risk
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure proper strategy, plan, alignment, integration and visibility
- Foster a team collaborative environment that tears down silos between groups – act in a single voice
- Maintain solid collaborative relationships with stakeholders
- Develop, coach, and mentor team members to advance their skills and career
- Be a change agent and foster a “learn by doing” environment
- Proven track record of leading complex projects
- Ability to lead and influence large teams
- Understanding of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
- Ability to communicate technology matters to business partners, senior executives, and strategic partners
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of lean agile experience
- Certified Scrum Master or equivalent Agile certification
- Experience with Agile development
- Proven excellent communication, collaboration, team building and relationship building skills
- Capable of gaining support for initiatives through influence and use of business rationale
- Proven ability to remove blockers and impediments (Identify, plan, resolve)
- Proven ability to coach individuals and teams on enhanced value delivery
- Ability to motivate and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
- Solid facilitation and presentation skills
- Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Facilitation certification
- Advanced Agile certifications
- Technical background or experience in software development
- Proficiency in CA Agile and AHA
