Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop Cloud-Based Data Pipelines: Create and maintain scalable data pipelines using cloud platforms like AWS
- Big Data Processing: Implement and manage big data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark and Hadoop for large-scale data processing
- Data Modeling : Develop and optimize data models and architectures to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval in cloud environments
- Data Quality and Governance: Implement data quality checks and governance practices to ensure data accuracy and compliance, leveraging cloud-native tools
- Real-Time Data Processing: Design and build real-time data processing solutions using Spark Streaming and other streaming technologies
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver cloud-based solutions that meet their needs
- Performance Optimization: Optimize data processing workflows for performance and scalability in cloud environments
- Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, including cloud databases, APIs, and third-party systems
- Technical Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data engineering processes and systems, focusing on cloud and big data technologies
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience:
- Data Pipeline Development: Proven experience in designing and developing scalable data pipelines
- Performance Optimization: Experience in optimizing data processing workflows for performance and scalability
- Data Quality and Governance: Implementing data quality checks and governance practices
- Technical Skills:
- Big Data Technologies: Solid experience with big data technologies like Apache Spark and Hadoop
- Data Warehousing: Experience with data warehousing solutions like Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS
- Data Modeling: Expertise in data modeling and database management (SQL/NoSQL)
- Real-Time Data Processing: Knowledge of real-time data processing frameworks like Spark Streaming and Kafka
- ETL Tools: Familiarity with ETL tools and processes for data integration and transformation
- Soft Skills:
- Problem-Solving: Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Communication: Proven excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and team members
- Adaptability: Proven ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies quickly
