We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Financial Consultant to join the Receivable Management Team to assist with effectively managing receivables for our company. This position is fast paced and always changing so it is a challenging role that offers opportunities to work directly with customers and vendors, learning multiple systems, utilizing SAS/SQL skills and collaborating with multiple business segments on process improvement projects.  This position offers a supportive team environment, cross-training opportunities, and solid potential for growth.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Create and manage customer call campaigns (IVR and Auto Dialer) to collect past due premiums for small business groups
  • Primary Finance point of contact with Operations with managing small business collection activities 
  • Create and load IVR call blasts monthly 
  • Revise IVR call scripts as needed which includes working with Legal, Marketing and business partners prior to sending to Vendor
  • Coordinate testing of IVR scripts with Vendor and business partners
  • Analyze, report, and suggest changes for call campaigns to improve collection rate
  • Create and analyze quarterly stats for soft calls and update quarterly scorecard to calculate soft call success rate and review historical trends to identify process improvement opportunities  
  • Collaborate with Operations Management to remove issues and roadblocks in collection efforts to increase the collection rate
  • Prepare monthly reports (e.g., RMS, non-pay preterm and final term lists) and post on SharePoint for Health Plan CFOs, Director of Account Management, Sales VPs, and teams to review to identify potential service issues that require term hold submissions 
  • Conduct training with internal customers (e.g., Director of Account Management, Account Managers, Billing team) on how to access, review and extract reports from SharePoint (e.g., preliminary, and final non-pay term lists)
  • Partner with cross functional teams to resolve issues and collaborate on process improvements to improve collection activities   
  • Lead or participate in process improvement projects to generate revenue or reduce expenses
  • Prepare and analyze financial information and summarize for leadership with reporting or presentations 
  • Automate processes to gain efficiencies and time savings for team
  • Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems
  • Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements and is willing to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Attend and participate in Department and Team meetings as well as host meetings with internal business partners
  • Prepare monthly call calendar and obtain approval from business partners 
  • Prepare or update job aids to document processes on an annual basis or as required 
  • Create and send external reports to brokers with proper Secure Shared Profile 
  • Assist with end to end set up and on-boarding of any future IVR and Auto Dialer vendors 
  • Serve as PTO backup for team members as needed
  • Complete ad hoc tasks as requested by management team

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or Post Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years progressive experience in accounts receivable, accounting, financial planning and analysis, or similar field
  • SAS/SQL experience 
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
  • Comfortable with some level of ambiguity and persistence to find the right answer
  • Proven ability to solve moderately complex problems and conduct moderately complex analyses
  • Proven ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to be proactive, self-direct, and take initiative with high quality and timely execution of assignments
  • Proven analytical background with the ability to demonstrate solid planning and organizational skills, along with a high degree of detail
  • Proven to work with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with auto dialer and IVR technology
  • Experience with process automation and process improvements
  • Experience adapting to an ever-changing environment and prioritizing deliverables
  • Experience with pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
