The Principal Software Engineer is a senior-level position responsible for leading and overseeing the design, development, and implementation of complex software systems. The role requires a deep understanding of software engineering principles, solid technical expertise, and the ability to provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers. The Principal Software Engineer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and quality assurance professionals, to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, reliable, and efficient software systems
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in software architecture, code reviews, and system performance optimization
- Collaborate with product managers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs
- Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, providing technical leadership and promoting best practices
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement
- Drive the adoption of software development best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components and systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations
- Participate in the recruitment and hiring process, conducting technical interviews and evaluating potential candidates
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including system design specifications, user manuals, and release notes
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, React JS, Redux, Node JS, Javascript, HTML, microservice, Azure, REST API’s
- Extensive experience in software development, with a focus on scalable and distributed systems
- Proven experience in software architecture design and implementation
- Deep understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum
- Good understanding of security Patterns
- Proven excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues
- Proven solid leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment)
