Clinic Supervisor – Bellingham and La Conner, WA

Under minimal supervision, organizes and manages the operation of the clinic/department, assuring the continuity and quality of patient care by following appropriate clinic protocols and the supervision and evaluation of staff. Assists the CPM/Director/Facility Medical Director in day to day management of reception, Medical Assistant and Pharm Tech staff.
This position is full time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our offices are located at 3130 Ellis S. Bellingham, WA and 528 Myrtle Street, La Conner, WA.
We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Works with all members of the department health care team ensuring smooth patient flow within department. Uses Standard tools to monitor individual and departmental performance on key metrics
- Determines appropriate staffing mix and amount to meet routine and special patient needs and arranges staff coverage. Responsible for the day-to-day operations. Takes a leadership role in problem solving with employees and patients
- Directs work of staff, including supervision, hiring, and terminations; determine staffing needs, and ensure efficient utilization of staff. Monitors skill development and performance of the staff. Provides orientation for all new staff and coaches for high performance. Gives regular performance feedback and conducts performance appraisals
- Meets regularly with CPM and physicians. Perform other duties including monitoring budget expectations as indicated by CPM, researching and resolving customer complaints
- Communicates information to all staff, manager and physicians as necessary. Conducts staff meetings as needed. Leads and/or Participates in departmental quality improvement and service excellence activities. Researches and resolves clinical quality issues
- Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent years of experience
- Must be 18+ years of age OR older
- 2+ years of current experience working in a clinical setting
- Experience with Windows based programs including Microsoft Office Suite Team, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft PowerPoint
- Must have reliable transportation
- Based out of the following 2 office locations: 3130 Ellis Street, Bellingham, WA and 528 Myrtle Street, La Conner, WA
- Ability to work full-time, Monday – Friday between 7:00am – 5:00pm including the flexibility to work occasional overtime given the business need
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of formal Medical Assistant program with WA State certification
- Team lead/Supervisory experience
The salary range for this role is $59,500 to $116,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
