As a Software Engineer, this individual will be part of an exciting team working with a combination of different technologies, building out a web application with automation integration. You will help in solving technically complex problems and you should be comfortable providing guidance to the junior members of the team and to other key stakeholders as appropriate. This role will involve working with a distributed, global team with multiple stakeholders. This role will include understanding technical and infrastructure requirements, process analysis, development of the automated workflow, full stack development, appropriate unit testing and successful release to deployment.

Primary Responsibilities of Software Engineer role:

  • Work closely with business units, Senior Development Manager, Technology and other teams in understanding the functional and technical design for processes identified for application and platform development.
  • API Development and front-end development
  • Microservices Architecture adherence and putting it to practice for the application and platform development.
  • Design, Develop and Manage Public Cloud Resources.
  • Providing architectural input over solution designs to ensure consistency and continuity across the company’s IT infrastructure and delivery team
  • Design reusable components, frameworks and libraries
  • Ensure quality of coded components by using best practice
  • Comply with and helps enforce design and coding standards, policies and procedures
  • Participate in an Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases through Sprints
  • Communicate any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager and providing inputs to the change control process
  • Support the Operational Teams during the UAT and rollout phases
  • Training and mentoring other developers within the team on development and delivery disciplines
  • Develop team standards and best practices while keeping up to date with industry standards, and technology changes to help build robust systems to accommodate the industry requirements and business needs

Required Qualifications of Software Engineer role:

  • Proven experience in .NET framework and related technologies such as ASP.Net, C#, .NET Core, etc. Hands on with C# and REST API development (C# is a must)
  • Prior experience and familiarity with Azure services and solutions, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS).
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns
  • Good knowledge of web development technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks like React.
  • Demonstrable experience with database technologies commonly used in .NET development, such as SQL Server or any RDMS
  • Prior experience of Source Control using GITHUB
  • Practiced Knowledge of agile development practices and DevOps principles and experience in tools like Github Actions, Jenkins or Azure Dev Ops.
  • Experience with database design, implementation, optimization.
  • Proven ability to reuse and/or develops for reuse complex components or capabilities to solve complex problems and needs
  • Thorough understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) concepts and SDLC processes
  • Proven ability to enhance system design/architecture to simplify and improve resiliency in system interactions and dependencies
  • Proven ability to contribute to or helps drive architecture/design, technology, and tool decisions and implementations

Preferred Qualifications of Software Engineer role:

  • Experience with technologies such as: HTML/Javascript, NodeJS, Git, React
  • Experience in collaborating with DevOps teams for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Experience in applying design patterns to solve common software design challenges and improve code quality
  • Experience in container orchestration using Kubernetes for automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications
  • Knowledge of anti-patterns and when to avoid certain design patterns based on specific requirements
  • Proficiency in software design principles and patterns, such as SOLID principles, design patterns, and architectural patterns like MVC, MVVM, etc.
  • Proven solid problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues related to containerization and orchestration
  • Proven ability to develop and sustain a mentality of life-long learning through ongoing investigation and investment in new coding, technical and operational skills and knowledge
