As the Sourcing and Procurement Consultant, you will be a part of a global customer-driven organization providing UnitedHealth Group business segments, procurement, and contracting efforts across the following categories: Technology Software, Hardware, Services, and other indirect spend categories. The successful candidate for this role will have experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiation contracts. The ability to translate business requirements into clear contract language and terms and possess, analytical and risk management skills, including relationship management/consultative skills. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to identify risk and seek guidance as needed to contract appropriately. Lastly, this roles requires managing multiple projects and tasks in a high volume environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review, author, redline, and negotiate vendor contracts, including Master Agreements, Software License Agreements, Technology Hardware purchases, Statements of Work, Amendments, Change Orders, and Procure to Pay transactions in cooperation with legal, and internal stakeholders
- Develop solid and collaborative working partnerships with key internal stakeholders including business partners and support functions (legal, finance and risk)
- Work in partnership with internal business customers and other stakeholders in establishing software licensing terms, optimum rates, service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs) and other legal and business terms. Develop and lead negotiation strategies toward achieving those optimal terms
- Ensure all procurement activities support and are aligned with internal strategy team
- Contribute to the annual cost savings targeted goals
- Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Sourcing and Procurement experience
- Contract management, drafting, development, redlining, and negotiation experience
- Proven influencing skills
- Proven solid interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple timelines and projects/priorities
- Demonstrated desire to learn, develop and grow
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of Project Management Experience
- Technology Sourcing and Procurement experience
- Experience with MS Office, excel and power point skills
- Experience with Ariba, Service Now and PeopleSoft
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry
The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
