The Data Center Integration and Optimization Integration Lead will be responsible for leading our server and application migrations as part of our data center integration and optimization program.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Planning: This includes establishing a detailed migration plan that clearly defines the scope, timeline, resources, and potential risks. They’ll need to coordinate with stakeholders to identify which applications and servers need to be migrated, and in what order, to minimize downtime. This also involves developing a thorough testing strategy to ensure all migrated applications function as expected in the new environment
  • Execution: The Lead will oversee the actual migration process, ensuring that all steps are followed as per the plan. This includes coordinating the efforts of the technical team involved in the migration and ensuring that all necessary configurations are correctly set up in the new environment. They’ll need to ensure all data is accurately transferred, applications are correctly installed and configured, and servers are properly set up and optimized
  • Troubleshooting: The Lead will be responsible for swiftly addressing any issues that arise during the migration process. This could include resolving data transfer errors, diagnosing and fixing application performance issues, or troubleshooting server configuration problems
  • Interfacing with Various Teams: The Lead will act as the primary point of contact for all migration-related matters. They’ll regularly communicate with other teams, including IT, network, security, and operations, to ensure that everyone is aligned and informed. This could involve clarifying technical requirements, coordinating schedules, resolving conflicts, and providing updates on migration progress. They’ll also need to work closely with the project management team to ensure that the migration stays on schedule and within budget
  • Customer Centric – Demonstrates a solid customer-centric approach and excellent communications skills. Responsible for the global landscape of the network/compute/security and cloud infrastructure. Keeps abreast of industry trends and makes architecture roadmaps and or recommendations based on these trends
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of experience in IT. Proven excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • 8+ years of experience in Application modernization and cloud migrations
  • 8+ years of experience in VMWare migrations
  • 5+ years of experience in leading technical teams formally and informally as well coordinating across other departments
  • 5+ years of proven experience with cloud migrations. Experience in Cloud connectivity and networking
  • 5+ years of experience in multi-tenancy with large multinational enterprises including Architecture/design
  • 5+ years of experience with building Infrastructure backbone with DR

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with network architectures, including network optimization and scalability for cloud environments. Design and Implement Data Center technologies like VXLAN, Cisco ACI, NSX Overlay, SDWAN
  • Experience in network performance tuning and network infrastructure design in a cloud environment
  • Proven experience with successful cloud migrations, with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing robust cloud-based networks
  • Demonstrated expertise in cloud networking technologies such as AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network, Google Cloud Networking, or other major cloud providers
  • Proficient in network security within a cloud environment, including the use of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encrypted data transmissions
  • Proficiency in leading and managing technical teams, with a solid emphasis on project management and team coordination
  • Proven track record in troubleshooting and resolving network-related issues in cloud environments
  • Proven solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Proven excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to design and manage core services such as DHCP, DNS, IP address Management and Load Balancing
  • Proven ability to participate in the development efforts to bring automation into the network environment to support rinse and repeat
  • Proven ability to partner with Cybersecurity organization in conducting security and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with corporate security policies and adherence to best practices
  • Proven ability to define requirements in support of budget plans and make recommendations for ways to improve performance, reduce costs, and meet business requirements
  • Proven ability to successfully negotiate technical design and deployment strategy with key stakeholders and consumers of the service
  • Proven ability to serve as the platform technical subject matter expert and provide consulting support to the business and end-user organizations
  • Proven ability to produce and maintain timely, accurate engineering documentation
  • Proven ability to integrate technical expertise with communication, leadership, and business skills in a team environment
