Senior Software Engineer I – SRE, Azure

Primary Responsibilities:

• Be able to develop and provide operational support for full-stack software applications
• Be able to collaborate with development operations staff to create, automate, monitor, and troubleshoot the system infrastructure
• Be able to improve and maintain system stability
• Be able to increase system resilience and serve larger customer volumes with expert-level coding
• Be able to improve automation and increase the system’s self-healing capability
• Be able to collect operating system data and report performance metrics to stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• Sr Software Engineering
• Solid developer/coding background. Preferred certified SREs, but also accept candidates with 7+ years IT-working experience as SRE roles in large scale projects; Or 7+ years IT working experience with equivalent responsibilities and roles of SRE. Experience with infrastructures, system admin, production supports Java, scripting languages Automation
• 6+ years of professional IT experience (IT Production Support Analyst, SRE, software development, or a combination), with steadily increasing responsibilities
• Demonstrated deep and thorough expertise via 3+ years spent in a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role
• 3+ years of experience working with Azure Cloud, Java, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Artifactory)
• Grow and maintain knowledge of and leverage cutting edge IT industry / marketplace technologies and trends to support highly available distributed systems, and the transformation of legacy systems
• Participate in knowledge sharing with other team members and industry collaboration organizations to advance the security monitoring program
• Proven ability to maintain quality documentation around monitoring/alerting and playbooks
• Proven ability to accurately and effetely communicate high priority issues
• Proven ability to review logs, network traffic, and endpoint data to identify and report possible security issues
• Proven ability to ensure that Service Level Agreements are defined, tracked and met by the team
• Proven ability to drive execution of daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for statistical threats, KPI’s, and KRI’s
• Proven ability to contribute to and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
