The primary responsibility of Software Engineer is to support software solutions as per production support SLA compliance guidelines. Software Engineer also works closely with the Production Support Manager and Project Manager towards Incidents, Service Request, Monitoring, Regular Jobs, Permanent fixes. Software Engineer shall have deep and mature understanding of complete software development life cycle and Support life cycle and shall possess demonstrable ability to work independently.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Application Support – Provide user support for business applications.  Effectively communicate with users to answer questions and resolve urgent requests
• Actively participate in war room to resolve and permanently fix critical incidents impacting business users
• Set up matured Monitoring processes to proactively identify possible issues in system and take corrective action
• Perform Root Cause Analysis on repetitive incidents and fix them to reduce Incident Influx
• Effectively communicate to Business users, Customers, Stakeholders about status of current work tasks
• Design, implement and maintain highly scalable microservices within all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) on Microsoft Azure
• Establish, refine, and integrate CI/CD, feature testing automation, performance testing as needed. Good understanding of Infrastructure as code
• Design and Estimate – Based on requirement definitions, recommend solutions with pros and cons.  Create design documents with estimates of time to complete
• Recommend possible technical solutions for issues and/or problems encountered when work on a project
• Advise the Technical Manager or Lead on information technology matters
• Identify production and non-production application issues 
• Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications, public cloud infrastructure cost, best cloud practices, scalability, high availability
• Provide technical leadership, design, and code review, serve as a mentor to less experienced developers Analyzes and investigates
• Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise
• Bring “continuous improvement” mindset to the team and encourage learning and professional growth
• Ability to see the broader picture and the impact of changes to all parts of the system.  Ability to quickly code and test the changes

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 4+ years IT experience in a software development environment
• Experience in system design and building secure distributed applications
• Solid experience in ASP.NET MVC 4 and above, C#, ADO.NET, Web API
• Solid experience in client-side technology JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX
• Extensive experience in web services, API security best practices
• Solid Deployment experience using IIS, DevOps
• Experience creating stored procedure, database views, triggers, indexes
• Proven analysis, design, and programming experience
• Solid technical knowledge in Microsoft .NET full stack development and production support
• Clear and demonstrable understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and distributed system architecture
• Entity Framework and SQL Server
• Understand the concepts and best practices of DevOps and modern CI/CD
• Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React)
• Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to understand database structures and be able to manipulate, extract, and update data
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams

 

Preferred Qualification: 

• Kafka, Angular experience or knowledge

 

Additional Experience:

• Ability to quickly analyze requirements and recommend multiple solutions with pros and cons.

 

Skills:

Senior Software Engineer Lead must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

Shift Time

Candidate will be working in 3.30 PM to 01.00 AM & 11.00 AM to 8.30 PM IST shift.
