Primary Responsibilities:
- Define and prioritize product features based on customer needs and business goals
- Create and maintain a well-organized product backlog, ensuring it is up to date, properly prioritized, and aligned with the overall product vision
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including customers, development teams, and business leaders, to gather requirements and feedback, ensuring clear communication throughout the product development process
- Write clear, concise, and actionable user stories that effectively capture customer requirements and can be understood by the development team
- Actively participate in sprint planning meetings to determine which backlog items will be included in upcoming sprints, and provide valuable feedback on the work completed during each sprint review
- Make informed decisions regarding the product’s direction, features, and priorities, providing guidance to the development team to ensure the product’s success
- Conduct thorough market and competitive analysis, monitoring industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure the product remains competitive
- Ensure the product meets expected quality standards by working closely with the development team to define acceptance criteria, conduct testing, and provide necessary guidance throughout the development cycle
- Act as a servant leader and coach to the development teams, guiding them in adopting and implementing agile principles and practices
- Collaborate with TPMs, business stakeholders, and development teams to define project goals, scope, and backlog items specifically
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure that the software solutions deliver value to business customers
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance team productivity and delivery efficiency
- Promote effective communication and collaboration within and across teams, ensuring clear understanding of project priorities, timelines, and dependencies
- Facilitate conflict resolution and help teams make decisions by fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment
- Monitor and track project progress, ensuring that the team is meeting sprint goals, deliverables, and timelines
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery, escalating as needed
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in creating and maintaining product backlogs and prioritizing features
- Proven experience and understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
- Extensive experience in liaising with product and engineering teams to deliver value to business customers
- Solid understanding of product management principles and methodologies
- Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
- Ability to gather and analyze customer requirements to drive product decisions
- Proficiency in writing clear and actionable user stories
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and participation in sprint planning and review
- Market research and competitive analysis skills to identify opportunities and stay ahead of the competition
- Solid decision-making and problem-solving abilities to guide product development
- Proven attention to detail and commitment to ensuring product quality
- Proficiency in facilitating and coordinating logistics for Agile routines and practices
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proven solid problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience in a similar product management or product owner role
