Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with business and technical leaders to manage the delivery of project commitments
- Drive modern solutions to solve complex problems and owns technical assets to deliver rapid value to our customers
- Drives design and development of resilient, reliable, scalable, and self-healing solutions and influences best practices and improvements across teams with detailed and sufficient telemetry
- Builds robust systems meeting business objectives, ensuring the right tools and technologies used, and keeping up to date and compliant with technology strategy
- Ensures grooming and prioritization is kept up with team velocity and actively works to remove productivity impediments and sustains a high velocity of delivered software
- Manages stakeholder expectations and maintains stakeholder relationships
- Manage forecasts and budgets from multiple funding sources for engineering team demand
- Evangelizes and demonstrates engineering and corporate culture to teams
- Recruit engineering resources, mentor talents, and raises the talent bar
- Delegates technical work with an appropriate level of supervision
- Communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written forms and present and demonstrate work technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Accountable to develop various types of testing plan for multiple initiatives and applications including functional, regression, automation, and manual testing
- Ensure that quality processes are carried out through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Partner with business, delivery leaders, product owners, systems analyst, engineers, and matrix partners to create/analyze required project documents and ensures that quality assurance processes are incorporated
- Analyze and dissect system requirements and technical specifications to create and execute test cases for large business initiatives
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 12+ years of experience in software development
- 5+ years engineering delivery leadership experience track record delivering results in an agile environment that include driving these practices:
- 3+ continuous integration / continuous delivery
- 3+ REST API development, serverless architecture
- 2+ containerization, public & private clouds, microservices, application observability
- 6+ years of experience with data ingestion, ETL and sending data to downstream systems, building secure technical assets and supporting change initiatives to drive data-driven improvements and transformations
- 3+ years prior leadership experience with building teams and managing talent
- 2+ years of operational production support
- 2+ years with establishing testing framework and automation and influencing teams to adopt Quality Engineering best practices
- 2+ years of experience leading QA efforts that includes testing applications, API, UI, data ingestion, and technologies involving sending data to downstream systems
- Expert understanding of software engineering and processes: design patterns, microservices, serverless functions, algorithms, data structures, schemas and queries, system design, unit testing, code reviews, agile, and dev-ops
