Positions in this function are responsible to ensure that the network infrastructure is robust, secure, and efficient for organizations to communicate and conduct business.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• SLA monitoring of firewall and network devices
• Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards
• Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization
• Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access
• Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information; managing projects
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS) 
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations 
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability 
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning 
• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues 
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure 
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team 
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Others tasks assigned by the supervisor

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer 
• 3+ years of network design experience planning the layout of LAN/ WAN communications
• 3+ years of experience working implementations: setting up network infrastructure devices (switches, routers, firewall, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience monitoring and providing regular maintenances to the systems
• 3+ years of experience administrating firewalls, encryption, VPNs, and other security measures
• 3+ years of experience working with other IT staff to integrate networks with systems and services
• Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Fortinet Firewall solutions
• Experience deploying and managing Cisco networking equipment
• Ability to implement and manage network access control solutions to ensure secure network access
• Proven in-depth knowledge of routing protocols and MPLS for efficient network traffic management
• Experience in creating, managing, and troubleshooting VLANs to segment network traffic
• Proven knowledge of Quality of Service (QoS) for voice traffic to ensure high-quality voice communications
• Experience in deploying and managing wireless networks
• Proficiency in managing and configuring network services within Microsoft Azure
• Proficient communication in English
• Availability to work after hours and on-call guard 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with HPE networking hardware, including setup, configuration, and maintenance
• Proficiency in using Wireshark or similar tools for network traffic analysis and troubleshooting
• Ability to capture and analyze network packets to diagnose and resolve network issues
• Experience with network monitoring tools to ensure network performance and reliability
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Syslog for network device logging and monitoring
• Ability to manage and optimize internet connectivity and usage
• Experience in implementing and managing network load balancing solutions
• Proficiency in configuring and managing DHCP and DNS services
