The Technical Product Manager – SAP MM Analyst will be part of the SAP ERP team within the Optum Rx Technology team performing business requirements, analysis, design, configuration, testing and user adoption related activities within the Materials Management (MM) functional area. The person in this position will collaborate with other SAP team members and staff towards defining, enhancing, and integrating SAP MM solutions across the ERP platform and related business processes.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate relationship with Optum’s procurement and warehousing business stakeholders 
  • Provide innovative ideas and solutions on how to streamline or optimize current business processing using SAP technology within the MM space
  • IT support of SAP processes in the MM area including configuration, testing and related functional documentation
  • Configurations for MM processes within SAP including Materials, MRP, and Procurement
  • Supporting SAP MM module functionality including S&OP, MRP, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, release strategies, material master, purchasing information records, sources lists and inbound delivery management
  • Partner with systems integrator resources in performing fit-gap analysis, build, and testing of the solution that meets the business requirements
  • Assist in identifying impact analysis of SAP functionality with MM functional leads, project managers, and other SAP implementation partners and team members
  • Understand business needs and requirements to create functional specifications documents for RICEFW items (reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows)
  • Manage incidents and problems within associated functional business areas
  • Perform technical troubleshooting to resolve production support issues
  • Develop and execute test cases, perform unit and integration testing in the MM Space
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Business, or MIS or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of SAP MM support experience
  • Knowledge of SAP MM configurations, integration and best practices

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP Fiori experience 
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Wholesale distribution LoB experience 
  • Knowledge of DSCSA requirements
