We are looking for an innovative and experienced technical manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud-hosted applications, the latest tech stacks, AI tools, and a commitment to security best practices. This role will also require solid leadership capabilities to guide a team towards continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and maintenance of cloud-hosted applications leveraging the latest tech stacks
- Utilize AI tools such as GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity and efficiency across the team
- Actively develop and implement threat prevention mechanisms and drive security best practices within the team
- Continuously work to remediate critical vulnerabilities, ensuring systems are secure and compliant
- Hold self and team accountable for producing high-quality code and meeting performance standards
- Develop code meaningfully for shared components across products and capabilities
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team
- Solicit personal feedback from team members to identify areas for personal and team improvement
- Seek guidance from subject-matter experts for learning strategies and coaching support
- Lead P1 war rooms, leveraging skilled team members to triage issues
- Ensure systems are kept up to date and compliant with PADU and lead tech debt removal at the platform level
- Take accountability for operational discipline by identifying potential budget issues, demand issues, and non-compliance with operational standards
- Participate in analysis and strive to meet common KPIs and goals
- Implement operational improvements that align with day-to-day business needs
- Manage stakeholder expectations through proactive communication, listening, and speaking their language
- Estimate funding and schedules to meet technical and business needs
- Enforce consistent demand intake and prioritization processes, ensuring backlog items have measurable success criteria
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with key partners to ensure dependencies alignment
- Drive prioritization of automation features in backlogs and achieve automation coverage goals
- Build and grow team expertise in automation technologies
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in application development
