As a Financial Consultant within the Expense Analytics organization, you will provide OI finance and operations organizations with key cost analytics, metrics, and more importantly, insights to enable data driven decisions. This role will be a key business partner for the Optum Insight Central and Business Operations leadership team, helping the organization drive to effective cost management and discipline, while building strategies to support Payer and Provider market revenue.
If you are located from anywhere within the U.S., you will have the flexibility to work remotely*, as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Expense Management across operations within the Payer Market products
- Partner with BU and Operations leaders to identify and build strategies that help transform and deliver cost savings
- Supporting operating expense governance to drive visibility to financial risk and opportunities for key stakeholders
- Role is critical in supporting both Operational leadership and the business unit Finance team in analytics, forecasting, budgeting, and cost savings opportunities

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or related discipline
- 2+ years of financial and business operational management experience.
- Experience in accounting, financial reporting, forecasting and operations, assessing their implications and developing and implementing an appropriate action plan
- Experience driving business performance in a high growth environment
- Experience working across teams and business partners to drive governance and discipline across the P&L
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Intermediate proficiency or above in Data Management capabilities (SQL, Tableau, PowerBI)

- MBA
- P&L accountability oversight experience

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
