Primary Responsibilities:
- Leading strategic technology discussions and planning with RCM Analytics (Commercial, Services and MPPs) product team to drive and influence the creation of innovative technology strategy and solutions
- Architecting and designing technology solutions to enable integration of business and technology priorities
- Developing key relationships across the business and contributing to business and technology strategy as a member of both the technology and business leadership teams
- Guiding technology decisions, including, but not limited to hardware, software, infrastructure, staffing, services and support
- Actively participating in Optum Insight’s capital funding process and helping to make technology investment decisions (in partnership with business leaders)
- Driving execution against the agreed upon agenda through a global team of ~100 people (comprised of both FTEs & vendors)
- Understanding and managing the financial budget for technology services in alignment with business strategy
- Ensuring consistent delivery that is on schedule, on cost, on scope, on benefit and within quality goals
- Ensuring effective alignment of technology to support business strategies and delivering business results through technology
- Ensuring implementation readiness and creating/enhancing operational processes to increase efficiencies
- Continually driving innovation and creative solutions to business challenges and applying technology best practices
- Selecting and implementing suitable technology to streamline internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits
- Partnering and guiding cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions from concept through launch
- Fostering a culture of innovation through utilization of DevOps, Agile, Release Management, Operations, and Automation
- Leading technology integration and simplification initiatives on an ongoing basis
- Identifying and mentoring technology professionals to build & maintain a high-performance team
- Defining and analyzing metrics that inform the success of products, including the feature sets, business requirements, and measures of success of an overall roadmap, aligned with business strategy & customer needs and informed by competitive intelligence
- Engaging with the market (buyers, end consumers, delivery partners) to lead and manage the design a product, solution and/or service strategy that is market driven
- Collaborating with Data Science teams to expand AI capabilities in products
- Lead strategic technology discussions and planning with RCM especially in MPP business; influence the creation of innovative technology strategy and solutions; architect and design solutions to enable business and technology priorities; track record of delivering scalable and highly-available systems using Agile methods and DevOps model; demonstrated understanding of corporate financial process
- Manages a team of 100+ global span and will lead Software Delivery for OI’s RCM Analytics Space
- Track record of delivering scalable and highly-available systems using Agile methods and DevOps model
- Advise Senior Leadership & business on technology direction, strategy and roadmap decisions; Influence the creation of innovative technology strategy and solutions
- Will establish, maintain, and evangelize architecture best practices throughout the portfolio
- Will represent Provider Engg on company wide architecture councils
- Works with Orbit team for platform modernization on Azure/Power BI technology stack
- Works with vendors and setups end to end telemetry
- Mentor product architects to help them drive consistency and best practices in their individual products

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience leading product development with success in meeting budgets and timelines for a division or operating unit for a healthcare or technology business
- 4+ years serving in a management/Director role (where you led through other leaders)
- Experience with demonstrated leadership experience in the product development process
- Experience as a strategy consultant and/or product officer of a large & complex software product suite
- Experience leveraging design-thinking methodology and empathy interviewing practices
- Track record of delivering scalable and highly-available systems using Agile methods and a DevOps model
- Legally authorized to work in the US without any restrictions. Proof will be required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leveraging shared technology services in a global organization
- Broad technology experience, including complex systems integration expertise
- Demonstrated understanding of corporate financial disciplines – budgeting, reporting and P&L
- Demonstrated organizational proficiencies to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment under limited supervision with excellent follow-through on detailed tasks
- History of delivering business results in a matrix environment
- Proven sound judgment and discretion in decision making
- Proven problem-solving skills with proven ability to incorporate process improvement tools
- Proven ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment
- Proven consultative approach to building consensus

The salary range for this role is $150,200 to $288,500 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
