Primary Responsibilities:

  • Aggregating data, running reports, completing templates, dashboards and workbooks, ad hoc requests and other tasks as assigned
  • Will learn data systems, sources, methodologies, logic, parameters, load times, lag considerations, data limitations, governance guidelines and any other data-related topics
  • Will partner with team members as needed to adjust the specifics of the data and reporting necessary for success across the office
  • Will develop the skills and expertise over time to prepare for more advanced roles within the office and enterprise
  • Will have measurable success metrics related to efficiency and accuracy of data and reports
  • Creative Analytics for specific client stories
  • Develop and share best practices in reporting and data analytics
  • Collaborate and cross train team members as needed
  • Partners with stakeholders to understand data requirements and create report specifications including business requirements, technical specifications
  • Participates in projects specific to analysis, insights, or recommendation growth members of the team 
  • Independently resolves most escalations

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of healthcare data analysis experience – ability to work with large volumes of data, disparate relational databases, and familiarity with various database technologies
  • 2+ years of experience with developing/writing SQL queries
  • Progressive work experience in a data analytics or related role
  • Academic knowledge of healthcare systems, medical claims, benefit utilization, clinical conditions. 
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and support modern large-scale data pipelines to support data integration for reporting & analytics
  • Demonstrated financial, analytical, and business acumen

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
