Technical Product Manager
Primary Responsibilities:Lead the development and management of AI-driven healthcare products for Optum, focusing on digital innovation and advanced analytics.Collaborate with product, XD, and other teams to build and maintain a strategic AI feature roadmap.Utilize AI and machine learning to enhance user engagement, product performance, and healthcare outcomes.Influence and navigate cross-functional teams in a complex, matrixed environment.Define and prioritize backlog items (epics/features/user stories) for Agile development.Develop key objectives, metrics, and apply AI-driven insights for strategic decision-making.Ensure seamless integration of AI solutions into end-to-end customer experiences.Prioritize work to maximize value aligned with AI and healthcare product strategy.Act as the primary contact for AI product-related queries and develop detailed specifications.Stay informed on AI, healthcare technology trends, and the competitive landscape. Manage AI-driven projects using agile methodology.Drive AI innovation and ensure cohesive progress across technology and operations.Identify and solve complex healthcare problems using AI and data-centric solutions.Translate AI vision into actionable processes and requirements for digital healthcare applications.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field with 6+ years of product management or consulting experience in AI and digital healthcare products.5+ years of experience in Agile environments, breaking down requirements into Feature Level requirements and User Stories.Proficient with tools such as Rally, AHA, Adobe, Tableau for data insights.Experienced in delivering AI-driven solutions including predictive analytics, machine learning models, and real-time data processing.Proven track record of delivering AI and data-driven solutions with a customer-first mindset.Strong background in launching AI software/services with engineering teams and understanding Agile principles.Healthcare experience in prevention, wellness, or claims/insurance is preferred.Ability to define problems and prioritize work with Director-level and above.Strong user experience and consumer-facing product development skills.Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a matrix environment and work collaboratively.Keen analytical, problem-solving, and business-oriented mindset.Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.Strong organizational and time management abilities.Comprehensive understanding of AI technologies used in digital healthcare product development.
