We are looking for an accomplished data plus domain expert with around 6+year of work experience and 3+ years of experience in US Health care domain, data analysis and clinical knowledge as well as understanding of medical coding.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Gather business requirements for data processing applications in iterative/agile development model partnering with Business and IT stakeholders
  • Analyze and document requirements from internal and external sources, evaluate and build effective solutions to problems
  • Own delivery of projects by working closely with cross functional teams in the role of an individual contributor across the product development lifecycle e.g., from research to design to implementation
  • Research and adapt best practices for supporting Claims Analytics – This role revolves around implementing the clinical domain knowledge and business intelligence skills to Behavioral Health clinical operations with an aim of bringing down the overall healthcare cost. Should know key Claim Operational KPIs like Denials, Adjustments, Auto adjudication etc.
  • Leverage UHG’s Cloud infrastructure to tackle problems across Optum Health operations. Create source-to-target mapping based on requirements. Azure Data Bricks knowledge preferred
  • Define rules for data profiling and transformation logic
  • Support Data Governance activities and be responsible for data integrity
  • Query data sources to conduct analyses, detailed data profiling and reporting
  • Research complex functional data/analytical issues
  • Assume responsibility for data integrity, data quality among various internal groups and/or between internal and external sources
  • Provides source system analysis and perform gap analysis between source and target systems
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience with SQL and Cloud knowledge and other BI and data-driven applications
  • Knowledge of Cloud – Azure Databricks, Snowflake
  • Knowledge of Data analysis and BI Tools – Power BI preferred 
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Clinical knowledge
  • Proficient in SQL and Data analysis tools (e.g. PySpark/Hadoop/HIVE)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proven excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
  • Proven professional, service oriented, proactive, and flexible
