Care and Value Analyst – San Antonio

The Care and Value Analyst researches and investigates critical business problems through quantitative analyses of revenue, utilization metrics, healthcare costs, membership trends, and quality and risk adjustment data.
Hybrid in San Antonio TX TX547 office 3 days a week, remote 2 days a week
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide management with statistical findings and conclusions and partners with stakeholders to identify areas of opportunity to improve the financial performance of clinics and risk pools
- Partner with the market clinical teams to identify areas of opportunity to improve on utilization outcomes
- Develop recommendations and strategies and communicates findings to leadership and operations teams to help implement corrective action plans
- Be the primary Care and Value expert in the market to provide education and training along with other additional support as needed
- Work with clinics and contracted teams to optimize Care and Value processes

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of general healthcare data analysis experience
- 2+ years of experience in a reporting and analytical role
- Experience communicating and facilitating strategic meetings with groups of all sizes
- Understanding of the complexity of Member healthcare, claims
- Knowledge of Managed Care and Medicare programs
- Proficient in MS Excel and/or equivalent data capture/reporting tools
- Proven solid verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, use good judgment and decision-making process
- Demonstrated ability to conduct performance evaluation to identify performance measures or indicators and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals
- Willing and able to travel up to 50% with the San Antonio, TX market
Preferred Qualifications:
- Risk Adjustment knowledge related to CMS reimbursement models
- 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting
- Demonstrated ability to act as a mentor to others
The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
