Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare, facilitate, and execute release planning for production releases
- Work with the team to prioritize the CRs and features to be considered in the upcoming releases
- Drive cross-team, functional impediments, planning, collaboration, and coordination
- Understand and manage dependencies to the release management process
- Provide regular and open communication
- Help the release team escalate and remove impediments
- Ensure that the team maintains focus on quality and continuous delivery of business value
- Facilitate the Scrum of Scrums, PO Syncs, System Demos, and Inspect and Adapt workshops for the release
- Provide coaching on the release process to help resolve process issues.
- Tracks and Reviews team progress / health using Agile methods (e.g. MBOs, velocity, definition of done, WIP, throughput) and also tracks for all Agile Metrics month on month
- Validates Agile tool data for Data Governance/Fixed Capacity Billing for Team (Rally Board, Feature Data, US Data, Milestones, etc.)
- Track project budget month on month for optimum allocation and over- or under-utilization
- Conduct retrospectives resulting in identifiable action items for continuous improvement, facilitating in depth conversations regarding obstacles and opportunities
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics
- Expertise and deep understanding of an enterprise level platform and application release synchronous and on-demand (Continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) release cycles for a diverse technology platform and product ecosystem with large scale deployments.
- Experienced with agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.
- Experienced using Rally, JIRA, SharePoint etc.
- Experienced with fundamentals of iterative and incremental development.
- Experienced with backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, etc. all Agile Metrics and PM functions
- SAFe RTE certification or Scrum Master certification (CSM)
- Solid knowledge of Scrum theory, rules, and practices
- Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, be a team player, and be well organized and efficient with excellent judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proven confident and proactive self-starter, skilled in taking initiative, assessing requirements, coming up with plans, and taking the lead in making plans reality
- A high level of energy with a results-driven attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate a high degree of adaptability, comfortable in establishing new directions, managing rapid change, and trying different approaches to deal with uncharted territories
- Proven excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive, productive relationships with colleagues, managers, external stakeholders, and client
- Comfortable and experienced operating in an outcome-oriented environment
