Data Analyst II – Remote

We are searching for a Data Analyst to join our experienced team. This role primarily performs data ETL (extract, transformation, load) activities and report development. The main tool used for data ETL is Alteryx, with inputs and outputs to primarily SQL Server databases. The primary tool used for report development is Tableau.
This role is a member of a team that develops and supports reporting and analytics for internal and external stakeholders. As such, the individual will be exposed to a number of departments and programs within the business.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs data analysis, report development, requirements gathering, testing and maintenance
- Primarily uses data analytics tools such as Tableau and Alteryx
- Supports architecting and building of database tables to increase efficiency and quality
- Interacts and communicates with developers, program team, external customers, and other stakeholders to support delivery of reporting products
- Proactively updates managers and teammates on status, next steps, recommendations, and risks
- Supports work to improve and standardize processes and technology
- Contributes to positive team culture

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with report development, specifically in Tableau and Alteryx
- 3+ years of experience with data analysis (e.g., SQL, ability to analyze data, database concepts)
- Experience with requirements gathering
- Experience working with stakeholders and leaders in a matrixed environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Visio, Teams)
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SQL
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proven solid communication, organization, collaboration, learning, adaptability, and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare industry
- Experience with any additional tools that are utilized in broader organization including: Amazon Redshift, SSRS, SSIS, PowerBI
- Exposure to Agile development methodology

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
