As a Data Scientist, you will be empowered, supported, and encouraged to use your analytics expertise to help change the future of health care. Data Science experience with Python, R or other analytic tools is essential, as is the need for strong machine learning skills. You will work with other Data Scientists and subject matter experts to conduct analytic studies, create credit risk prediction models, and bring innovative new products to market. Apply your knowledge of Data Science to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries leading to prototype development and product improvement. Primary Responsibilities:
- Use analytics, statistical software, and database technologies such as Python, SQL, R, Spark, Hadoop, and others to analyze, review and interpret complex data
- Develop, maintain & monitor production-ready machine-learning models with other Data Scientists
- Identify drivers of patterns/behaviors uncovered in data
- Collaborate with fellow data scientists, business analysts, data engineers and subject matter experts to design and oversee the development of data science solutions
- Present analysis and interpretation for operational and business review and planning

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, etc. with a significant quantitative aspect
- Proficiency in the data science skill set (i.e., exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, fitting, tuning, evaluating, and comparing models etc.)
- Experience with common open-source ML libraries, especially with Python or R
- Ability to communicate effectively to clients and the business in writing and verbally
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the development of credit risk models
- Experience with banking (commercial/consumer) lending products
- Experience with Spark/PySpark
- Knowledge of US. Healthcare
- Experience in at least one data visualization tool for displaying and exploring analytic results such as Excel, Databricks, Tableau, Power BI, Plotly, R Shiny, Matplotlib or similar
Soft Skills:
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and tools
- A passion for problem solving using data and analytics
