Primary Responsibilities:

  • Typically responsible for cross-team consulting and team maturity as Scrum Master
  • Doing Agile – facilitating prescribed Agile events, ceremonies, and activities, according to methodology, adhering to Agile Values and Principles
  • Creates transparency by making information available for the team, begins introducing existing tools (e.g. wiki, flowdock) and practices (e.g. attend Scrum of Scrums) that encourage transparency
  • Develops oneself to be a coach while influencing team members, collaborates with more senior Scrum master / Agile Coaches, may mentor TDP’ers/Interns
  • Makes Visible, responds to blocking issues impacting team’s progress, taking accountability, escalating as needed
  • Monitors outside influences and distractions which may interrupt the team, intervenes as needed to protect the team
  • Tracks team progress using historical data looking for team overcommitment and complacency
  • Conduct retrospectives resulting in identifiable action items for continuous improvement, facilitating in depth conversations regarding obstacles and opportunities
  • Guides team in celebrating successes through formal ceremonies
  • Empowers team to take ownership over the what, how, and when of their daily efforts
  • Coaches team through healthy conflict and debate
  • Applies questioning techniques to explore issues, uncover assumptions, and to get to the truth of things
  • Fosters a collaborative team culture
  • Becomes familiar with Our United Culture (e.g. online resources)
  • Collaborates with Product Owner to communicate a clear, compelling product vision to the team
  • Collaborates with Product Owner to assure product backlog / roadmap health
  • Supports the team in holding themselves accountable to consistently and sustainably deliver value to customer
  • Tracks and Reviews team progress / health using Agile methods (e.g. MBOs, velocity, definition of done, WIP, throughput)
  • Validates Agile tool data for Data Governance/Fixed Capacity Billing for Team (Rally Board, Feature Data, US Data, Milestones, etc.)
  • Develop knowledge and skills through relevant internal Agile trainings (e.g. Learnsource)
  • Builds aptitude with respect to Agile foundational values and principles (Agile Manifesto)
  • Participate in external Agile training (e.g. PluralSight, Lynda)
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate
  • 7+ years of experience with Agile Methodologies

  • Experience with Health Care
