Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide L2 support for Java-based applications in a production environment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve and service requests within defined SLAs
  • Collaborate with development teams to analyze and resolve production issues
  • Perform application deployments and ensure proper configuration in the production environment
  • Implement and maintain monitoring tools to proactively identify potential issues
  • Participate in incidents, including system failures, performance issues, and application errors
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify root causes of incidents and implement permanent fixes
  • Monitor production systems and proactively identify potential issues before they escalate incident management, including incident triaging, investigation, and resolution
    Document known issues and create knowledge base articles for future reference
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
  • Cert in a production environment
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Experience with incident management tools and processes
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • In Java application development and support
  • In-depth knowledge of Production Support L3 Support and SRE activities
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving incidents Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Jenkins or GitLab
  • Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization techniques
  • Solid understanding of Java frameworks, application servers, andifications in Java or related technologies
