Software Engineering Lead – Java or Python, Azure
Primary Responsibilities:
- Reuses and or develops for reuse code algorithms, or data structures to address common needs
- Actively follows industry trends in technology, tools, and components, sharing finds with team members
- Participates in Agile and CI-CD practices, takes ownership of some processes or practices for team
- Provides ideas on how technology can improve business processes
- Understand & explains security standards to others
- Breaks complex topics into meaningful chunks of information
- Writes good quality code and seeks opportunities to improve the overall quality
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in Cloud technologies, preferrable Azure
- Solid in either Java or Python programming
- Proven excellent problem solving skills
- Familiarity with CI/CD, dev testing tools like Junit & Mockito & other modern engineering practices.
- Familiarity with source code management systems like GitHub
- Database Knowledge – Understand SQL and NoSQL databases
- Solid communication skills
- Has awareness of the operational characteristics (e.g. security, performance, scalability, manageability) of solutions and is accountable for supporting those requirements in contributed code
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Containerization and Kubernetes
- Experience with Log aggregation & monitoring tools like Splunk, ELK, or Datadog
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues
- Understanding of Spring and Spring Boot frameworks
- Code Security Expertise – experience addressing vulnerabilities in code & containers
- Data Domain Exposure – familiarity with platforms like Databricks and Snowflake
- Knowledge of CICD Pipelines, tools like GitHub Actions
