Sr. Technical Product Manager (Specialty Products) – MN or Remote

As part of the Pricing Operations team, you’ll be a member of a high-performance team that is re-imagining the way we do business. This is accomplished through cross-functional project work to determine, develop, implement and maintain best in class governance, processes and tools. This role interacts directly with the Specialty Product Owner to understand product roadmap as well as collaborating with multiple tool Product Owners to define and implement appropriate technical solutions in Pricing tools.
Due to the cross-functional nature of this role (and multiple tool touchpoints), defining requirements, understanding a feature’s impact/relationship on other functionality, and ensuring user stories are aligned across backlogs is essential. Coordination of and participating in end-to-end user acceptance testing and post-production validation is also critical to success.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners, Underwriters, end users, architects and engineering teams to define product requirements, implement operational solutions and ensure successful product launches
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the development team, ensuring the feasibility and scalability of product features for full stack and data solutions
- Tool Proficiency: Comfortable using Aha, Rally, and GitHub
- DevOps Knowledge: Working knowledge in DevOps and proficient coding skills in SQL and/or Python
- Project Management: Adhere to all project management guidelines, including scope, time, cost, quality, communication, risk, and stakeholder management
- Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for improvement
- Technical Acumen: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends. Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance product capabilities and performance
- Requirements and User Stories: Partner with business teams to understand detailed requirements and engineering teams on the creation of requirements and user stories
- Solution Understanding: Understand high-level end-to-end solutions, including data flows
- Balancing Needs: Effectively balance the needs of operations and technical teams

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of technical product management experience with a focus on keeping projects in scope, on time, within budget, and communication risk to stakeholder management
- 3+ years of software development experience with an understanding of cloud technologies
- 3+ years of analyzing complex data and making data-driven recommendations/decisions
- 2+ years of agile methodologies experience
- 2+ years of coding experience with preference in one of more of the following: Python, SQL, and/or Java
- 2+ years of experience gathering requirements and crafting user stories, working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Legally authorized to work in the US without any restrictions. Proof will be required
Preferred Qualifications:
- PBM, Specialty Pharmacy or healthcare experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and creatively

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
