Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer, deliver, and support Identity Access Management (IAM) services, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Federation access to applications
- Support Application integration with Ping Identity, Azure AD, Imprivata appliances, and related systems
- Act as primary contact Lead integration of newly acquired clinical environments into enterprise SSO and Imprivata infrastructure
- Collaborate with technical and security teams to ensure proper IAM authentication and access services design and function
- Onboard acquired entities and integrate applications with SSO and MFA using OIDC and SAML patterns
- Enhance infrastructure and service resiliency, troubleshoot issues, and prevent outages
- Assist in planning product retirements and migrations as part of digital workspace evolution in the enterprise and healthcare delivery
- Develop diagrams to illustrate architectural complexities and interactions
- Support business teams and users adopt IAM services, evaluate authentication requirements, and implement enhancements
- Gather and analyze data for informed decision-making and provide detailed, realistic estimates
- Engage with business stakeholders and third-party technical organizations in support of IAM programs
- Solve problems and provide deep technical troubleshooting skills
- Configure logging, alerting, monitoring, and reporting for IAM solutions
- Define and implement technical solutions to meet business needs through Agile methodologies
- Mentor team members on architecture, engineering, processes, operations and product knowledge
- Foster high-performance, collaborative technical work resulting in high-quality output

Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of Information Technology support experience in large, complex multi-server environment
- 5+ years Identity Access Management or Security engineering and support experience, Preferred SSO/MFA using one of Azure AD, Ping Identity, or Imprivata
- 4+ years of business user support experience
- 4+ years of experience on integration with a variety of enterprise applications, platforms and utilities
- 2+ years of LDAP Directory knowledge
- 1+ years of scripting and automation
- Demonstrated ability to work an On-call rotation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent progressive work experience of 10+ years in related fields
- Demonstrated experience and Product expertise in 1+ of IAM and Security domains, including Architecture, Engineering, Infrastructure Security, SSO, MFA, ID Verification, SAML, OIDC, Cloud
- Experience within UnitedHealth Group / Optum
- Experience supporting Identity, SSO or MFA based access to Epic and Clinical systems
- Experience with EPCS and Identity Verification, supporting clinical prescription workflows
- Experience with monitoring and reporting tools like Splunk, Zabbix, Sitescope, HPOV, New Relic
- Experience interacting with and providing guidance to business and application teams and leaders
- Knowledge of Cloud (private/public/hybrid) and Container technologies
- Information security background and related certifications

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
