The Product Risk Remediation Program Manager oversees the successful execution of risk remediation activities in the Customers installed base. Remediation efforts such as patient safety recalls, Security risks and patches and Products end of Life programs. Responsibilities include tracking progress to completion, ensuring affected customers receive necessary upgrades, updates or patches, and escalating delays or issues to leadership or senior management. The role involves clear communication with internal teams, coordinating resources, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures. Additionally, the Program Manager regularly reports programs and projects progress to stakeholders and ensures all activities are completed within defined timelines.

The role requires partnering with other leaders and senior management in a high energy, fast-paced, and dynamic matrix organization across multiple geographies in order to have continues consistency, alignment and visibility into progress, status, impediments and risks. The Program Manager will oversee multiple projects and initiative that rollup into our business objectives, roadmap and vision. Solid execution and collaboration of the strategy is required. Must have data analysis skills to support decision making processes, and the ability to execute flawlessly and assess the program and make recommendations to senior and executive leaders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Program/Project Management: Create and manage high confidence program and/or project schedules with clear dependencies, critical path, and systematic methodology to communicate program status. Manage risks and mitigations, and re-plan as events warrant
  • Tracking and Monitoring: Progress monitoring and tracing to completion of all activities with cross functional stakeholders. Ensure the recall process adheres to the planned timelines. Ensuring affected customers receive necessary upgrades, updates or patches, and escalating delays or issues to leadership or senior management. Developing and applying monitoring tools and KPIs to track progress and measure success, reporting organizational status to stake holders 
  • Reporting: Regularly report recall progress to stakeholders, including executive management and teams responsible for implementing corrective actions
  • Escalation of Delays: Proactively escalate any delays or issues to the appropriate management representatives
  • Resource Coordination: Ensure the availability and effective utilization of required resources, including personnel, replacement parts, and tools
  • Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with affected customers and internal teams regarding recall status
  • Compliance: Ensure all recall activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal SOPs
  • Data & Analysis: Role requires analysis and development of best practices for the strategy and execution of managing our Install base and product risk remediation.  This analysis will require working with most functional areas across the Imaging business including sales, product development, marketing, sales enablement, support, implementation, regulatory and more
  • Change Management: Being able to drive action and a significant change management in processes and culture by influence and value to the business

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of complex project management, program management or related experience in the healthcare industry 
  • Experience managing multi projects simultaneously 
  • Proven ability to work independently in driving projects from initiation to completion
  • Proven ability to facilitate meetings with all levels of project teams and stakeholders 
  • Ability to travel based on business needs (0-10%)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Six Sigma green belt certification or experience 
  • Experience collaborating with clinicians/clinical teams and technical/IT teams 
  • Intermediate knowledge of the healthcare industry including clinical workflows and/or healthcare IT systems 
  • Intermediate level knowledge of healthcare imaging, specifically radiology and cardiology

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
