Foster Care Supervisor – Field Based in Kansas – Multiple Cities

The Foster Care Supervisor will lead a care management team while overseeing day-to-day clinical operations and health plan clinical initiatives to support achieving quality and affordability targets. The Manager will manage a program, region, or collection of Pod teams, including process improvement, execution of clinical decision processes, and team management, to include performance management and implementation of program initiatives.
For this position, we can consider candidates in (or within a comfortable commute) of the following areas: Kansas City, Wichita, or Topeka, KS.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Hire, manage, develop, mentor and support staff in designated department or region
- Develop clear goals and objectives for performance management, effectively communicate expectations, and hold the team accountable for results
- Ensure standardized execution of workflow processes, including conducting performance audits, quality reviews, and compliance adherence
- Acts as interface with other departments to coordinate workflow processes and implementation plans
- Resolve inpatient and outpatient provider authorizations and collaborate with Provider relations to assist in Provider resolutions
- Carry member case load as needed

Required Qualifications:
- Must possess one of the following: Master’s degree (in social work, nursing, psychology, or related human services area) OR be a registered nurse (RN) in Kansas
- 3+ years of clinical experience
- 1+ years of experience working with children in the foster care system
- Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel within assigned territory to meet with employees, members, and providers
- Possess a valid US driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of Leadership Experience with responsibility for team performance
- Trained in trauma-informed care
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to transition from office to field locations multiple times per day
- Ability to navigate multiple locations/terrains to visit employees, members and/or providers
- Ability to transport equipment to and from field locations needed for visits (ex. laptop, etc.)
- Ability to remain stationary for long periods of time to complete computer or tablet work duties

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
