The Marketing Specialist I is responsible for managing marketing requests and serves as the primary point of contact for creative requests, collaborating closely with both internal and external creative partners. This position works closely with the Marketing Director, Creative Director and business partners to fulfill timely marketing requests with production partners and by routing projects to appropriate creative teams. The Marketing Specialist I is an integral member of our marketing team, playing a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of project requests. This involves coordinating tasks and project deliverables across the marketing team, working closely with various stakeholders to meet deadlines and maintain high standards. Cross-team collaboration is a key component of this role.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with project management experience, possessing a proactive approach, solid communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. They must be well-organized, highly motivated, and passionate about communication and connecting the dots. Thriving on proactively seeking new insights, finding creative solutions, and measuring results, they should be comfortable collaborating and communicating with business partners and vendors to ensure alignment and successful execution of agreed-upon objectives.
- Serve as the primary contact for all creative project requests, managing the marketing intake form and filtering requests to appropriate team members
- Ensure accurate and timely project deliverables by coordinating tasks and project deadlines across the marketing team
- Manage the marketing print on demand vendor, including business partner requests, platform maintenance, mailings and stationery orders
- Act as the primary vendor contact to ensure streamlined processes for all requests
- Regularly communicate with key business partners, such as practice managers to ensure alignment and timely delivery of requests
- Collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams, developing and maintaining solid relationships with stakeholders
- Utilize project management systems (e.g,, Workfront, Asana) to ensure workflows and projects remain on task and lead assigned projects from start to finish
- Quickly learn and adapt to new processes and continuously refine systems and seek innovative solutions
- Understand and adapt to the Optum culture

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3+ years of project management experience; Years of post-high school education can be substituted/is equivalent to years of experience
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, advertising or related field
- Solid writing/communications skills
- Solid organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with marketing project management systems (Workfront/Asana)
- Agency experience
- Keen attention to detail
- Proven self-starter with the ability to balance and execute multiple projects concurrently

The hourly range for this role is $28.61 to $56.06 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
