Supports project implementations, daily system operational support, new user training, and maintenance of the Essette system for the Care Management department. Coordinates tracking, updates and compliance for all Essette correspondence requests. Supports development and maintenance of program structures within the Essette system. Aids in data receipt, entry and validation for various data sources into the clinical platform. Supports the care management department in achieving accurate and timely measurements. Works on system configuration and report configuration within the platform for end users. This position will ensure continued support for program development and compliance for Care Management.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Respect confidentiality and maintain confidences as described in the UHG Employee Handbook and acknowledged through signature by all employees. The ability to maintain confidentiality is a critical and essential component of this position
- Works collaboratively with Essette Leads, CM management, IT, and other departments using the Essette system in accordance with the Mission and Values of the company to perform the assigned duties
- Take on administrative and configuration tasks that support the Care Management teams
- Monitor and update all correspondence as it is updated per regulation/department changes
- Roles for this position include system configuration, error management and user set up/support
- Works with partner organizations and providers on collecting program requirements
- Maintaining documentation regarding various projects, processes and operations
- Serve as a point of contact for developing Essette care management centered processes with internal teams and external partners. Ensure clear project definition, design, communication, implementation, monitoring and support. Work with stakeholders to establish areas for integration
- Facilitate documentation and configuration support for care management system development projects
- Maintain working knowledge of all CM systems. Demonstrate and apply understanding of Essette business processes, compliance and configuration
- Support the implementation of effective, data driven solutions for operational problems and program requirements. Identify the business impact of system changes (ex: Essette upgrades). Ensure that identified are sound for business teams
- Ensure that project and issue resolution requirements are clearly and comprehensively documented, understood by developers and tracked
- Utilize individual thought and department expertise to organize and validate data to manage the development of reports, e.g., production reports, regulatory reports, utilization reports, compliance reports for internal and external audits, and validation of reports

- Maintains system efficiency. Ensures the design of the system allows all components to work properly for the department and others utilizing it. Point of contact for coordinating response with IT, Essette vendor and front-end users when issues arise. Troubleshoot problems reported by user, by testing and resolving or reporting as necessary. Engages in necessary resources to address needs in a timely manner. Makes recommendations for future upgrades
- Assess, monitor and improve work processes and work with Director to implement changes. Ensures changes are communicated and integrated with in the department and for external partners
- Serves as a resource for CM and other departments. Maintains Essette user manuals and workflows. Maintains user roles to ensure security and availability to specific users. Identify user needs, internally and externally. Coordinates system support between other departments and internal IT and/or Essette vendor during upgrade requests and scheduled routine maintenance of the system
- Collaborates with Management to run program reports. Assists with data definitions and works closely with Data Analyst teams to ensure accurate reporting. Scrub report files for accuracy.
- Communicate testing results to appropriate stakeholders. Provide ongoing support to ensure proper implementation and adoption of the solution. Train applicable users on solution

Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent, or the combination of education and experience that would enable performance of the full scope of the position
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication skills
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret technical procedures, and to identify and manage routine problems
- Demonstrated decision making, multi-tasking capabilities, and ability to learn new technologies
- Proven Microsoft systems knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience of healthcare industry and system support experience

The hourly range for this role is $23.70 to $46.35 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
