This candidate will be part of a 43-person team made up of Project Managers, Teradata and Web Developers, Data Modelers, DBAs, Business Analysts and Report Analysts.  Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with programmers, analysts, immediate supervisor, management, system users, operations, other State agencies and the private sector.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the liaison and Subject Matter Expert between the business users, Medicaid program area, and technical teams
  • Ensure understanding of priorities, business needs, schedule, status, and deliverables amongst members of the business, program and technical teams
  • Manage day-to-day communication and ensure rapid resolution of requests and questions from business users and technical teams
  • Facilitate sessions with business, program and technical teams to understand business needs, identify and design solutions, and develop use cases
  • Create formal documentation for Business, Functional and Technical requirements, Functional and Technical Design, and Use CasesF
  • Lead development of formal Test Plans and test data in collaboration with the business, program and technical teams
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing sessions with Business Users
  • Validate and test web application and reporting functions
  • Facilitate and document business User Acceptance Testing
  • Prepare necessary forms and documentation for implementation
  • Analyze and recommend process improvements
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Analyst Experience in a Data Warehouse or Web Application environment
  • 5+ years of experience facilitating business requirements gathering, technical documentation, test plan creation
  • 5+ years of experience with all phases of SDLC
  • 1+ years of SQL Assistant experience
  • 1+ years Medicaid related experience

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 1+ years of Business Analyst Experience with State Government/Medicaid business areas
  • 1+ years of Training experience
  • 1+ years of SQL Assistant experience
  • Experience working with business partners to proactively identify value add solutions
  • Experience with Report Development
  • Experience with Analytical Tools
  • Ability to work in our Lansing, MI office

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
