Project Managment Software Engineer – National Remote

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead projects with a hands-on approach, utilizing technical expertise in software engineering while embracing an Agile/Scrum methodology to produce high-quality software releases through Sprints
- Demonstrates ability to quickly learn and appropriately apply new technologies to solve data migration, data archival, decommissioning activities, software enhancement, and quality assurance
- Regularly contribute valuable and actionable insights on improving processes and practices that can be readily implemented
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and the technology team to analyze complex business needs and guide the development team towards effective solutions and alternative strategies
- Proactively engage in the creation and improvement of reference materials, training documents, and resources to support team development and project execution
- Utilize the security monitoring tools to support audits (Ex: AlgoSec)
- Report and review the compliance status and take remediation actions
- Determine the severity and complexity of issues pertaining to the security and protection of systems data, (autonomously or as part of a team) to ensure the protections, conservation and accountability of proprietary, personal, or privileged electronic data
- Collaborate with customers, team members and other technical personnel to ensure mitigation of security risks pertaining to the company
- Define, implement, audit, and maintain firewall security policies

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR PMP and/or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) OR 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- 3+ years of experience with Unix
- 2+ years of experience in IT project management, time management, risk assessment and mitigation planning
- 2+ years of experience in software engineering, leading complex projects, utilizing GitHub repository, and IT service implementation
- 2+ years of experience in MySQL database management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be self-motivated, eager to learn, willing to go above and beyond, perform well when team is under critical, stressful time, and fast speed environment. The can-do attitude
- Experienced with databases: Oracle, MongoDB, and/or MSSQL
- Expected to quickly adapt to new technologies, demonstrating excellent analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and troubleshooting abilities
- Participated in IT project feasibility, workflow mapping and process improvements, application enhancements, design decisions and implementing cutting-edge technology and tools. Staying informed about technology trends to enhance personal skills and team capability
- Leveraging technical expertise to identify, analyze, and solve development and production support issues. Managing the delivery process, integrating various methodologies to ensure the team meets project scope within the allocated timeframes and budget
- Ensuring project/program delivery aligns with the specific methodology (e.g., Waterfall, Agile), managing scope, timelines, resources, financials, risks, and issues effectively
- Communicating delivery status to stakeholders, highlighting progress, obstacles, and risks
- Fostering collaboration between teams and resolving conflicts as necessary, driving actions, and ensuring accountability for delivery
- Translating complex concepts for a broad audience, relying on facts and data for objective decision-making, and maintaining transparency by speaking the truth
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
