We are seeking an experienced Senior Director for our Production Support/Tech Ops team. The ideal candidate will have over 18 years of experience in managing critical production environments, ensuring peak season readiness, and maintaining high application availability. This role requires a deep understanding of production infrastructure, cost management, and cloud platforms, along with the ability to lead a team of 20+ professionals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- War Room Management and P1 Incidents:
- Lead and manage war rooms during critical P1 incidents, ensuring swift resolution and minimal impact on business operations
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve high-priority issues effectively

- Production Infrastructure Understanding:
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the production infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Implement best practices for infrastructure management and continuous improvement

- Cost Awareness and Application Maintenance:
- Monitor and manage the costs associated with running and maintaining applications
- Optimize resource utilization to ensure cost-effective operations without compromising on quality

- SLA and SLO Management:

- Develop, monitor, and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to ensure high standards of service delivery
- Ensure compliance with SLAs and proactively address any deviations
- Peak Season Readiness and Application Availability:
- Prepare the team and infrastructure for peak seasons, ensuring readiness to handle increased load and demand
- Achieve and maintain 99.999% application availability through proactive monitoring and maintenance

- Develop, monitor, and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to ensure high standards of service delivery
- CXO Communication:
- Communicate effectively with CXO-level executives regarding TechOps strategies, incidents, and resolutions
- Provide regular updates and reports on operational performance and key metrics
- Communicate effectively with CXO-level executives regarding TechOps strategies, incidents, and resolutions
- Cloud Platforms and Cross-Platform Integrations:
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of cloud platforms and their integration with other systems
- Implement and manage cross-platform integrations to enhance system functionality and performance

- Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of 20+ professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team

- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- 18+ years of experience in production support and technical operations
- Experience in cost management and optimization
- Leadership experience in managing large teams
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and cross-platform integrations
- Solid understanding of production infrastructure and application maintenance
- Expertise in SLA and SLO management
- Proven track record in managing war rooms and P1 incidents
- Proven ability to ensure peak season readiness and high application availability
- Proven excellent communication skills, particularly with CXO-level executives
- Available to work from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM IST
