IO Engineering Analyst – Veritas NetBackup, Azure

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support Production Backups environment of an enterprise managing 60K (Virtual and physical) servers for backups
• Supporting Data Center Operations with Business and Mission critical applications
• Reacting to escalated incidents and High critical incidents
• Predicting Risk or Impact and participating in major changes
• Technical transition and Documentation’s skills (onshore to offshore)
• Migration, and upgradation of existing infrastructure
• Data Protection utilizing NetBackup, or other backup/restore products on-prem and in the cloud
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• B. Sc., B. Commerce, BTech, MCA or relevant Graduation degree
• Good experience in Administration of Veritas NetBackup
• Good Knowledge on Veritas Netbackup clients install, configuration and Troubleshooting
• Good understanding of ITIL concepts such as Incident, Change and Problem Management
• Good knowledge on SAN, NAS and Networking concepts
• Good understanding on scripting tools like shell or Python or Ansible
• Knowledge on Operation systems (AIX and Linux)
• Good knowledge in troubleshooting, problem management and RCA
• Working knowledge with ServiceNow ticketing tools to track down incidents and break fix request
• Good knowledge in handling P1/P2 issues in war room situation
• Good knowledge on Windows, Unix and VMware
• Working knowledge of automation and reduction of manual efforts through scripting or tools
• Proven good written and Verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualification: 

• Proven skills with NetApp NAS as well as project skills
