Role Overview

The role of the Medical Assistant Patient Navigator in the High-Risk Breast Cancer Program is to be the point of care for patients via direct and/or telephone contact, following established standards and practices. You will be contacting patients that have been identified as high risk and encourage them to join our High-Risk Breast Cancer Program.  You will coordinate with other members of the care team to ensure seamless care delivery, maximal coordination of efforts and active patient participation in planning and care.

Hybrid Work Schedule

After training at Putnam Hospital in Carmel with our RN Navigator, the position will then transistion to a hybrid role with three days working from home and two days in our Fishkill office. This flexible schedule allows you to balance remote work with in-person collaboration, ensuring both productivity and work-life balance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Nationally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification or the ability to obtain within 1 year of employment (Training and examination is provided and paid for in-house.)
  • 1+ years of clinical experience in a medical office, clinic or hospital setting   

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with 1+ years of recent experience as a medical assistant
  • Current CPR / BLS certification  

The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $24.42+ per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
