Systems Management Consultant – Window Active Directory

Primary Responsibilities:
- System Design and Architecture:
- Design and develop scalable, secure, and efficient systems architecture that meets business, security and disaster requirements
- Evaluate existing systems, proposing improvements, considering security best practices and industry standards
- Security Implementation:
- Implement robust security measures to safeguard our systems and data against unauthorized access, breaches, and cyber threats
- Deploy secure Microsoft Active Directory technologies. Versed in group policy management and Microsoft AD best practices
- Collaboration and Leadership:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, engineers, and IT operations to integrate security into the development lifecycle
- Analyze the clients’ current technical strategy, determine improvement points and propose a well-documented solution to leadership
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Respond to regular security assessments and audits to address identified vulnerabilities and risks. Work with a secure first mindset
- Develop and implement operating system and Microsoft Active Directory risk mitigation strategies to address identified vulnerabilities and ensure a proactive security posture
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation related to system architecture, security configurations, and procedures
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to areas of responsibility
- Secondary escalation Incident Response and Troubleshooting:
- Lead or participate in escalated incident response efforts to investigate and resolve OS, hardware, security incidents or breaches
- Be available to work on call shift rotations requiring that you be available 24×7
- Perform root cause analysis and presentation to problem management board to ensure issue is resolved or mitigated
- Take charge mindset prepared to lead projects, technical implementation of system deployments, Microsoft Active Directory, and security posture
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or 5+ years of equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in security principles, techniques, protocols, and best practices
- 3+ years of hands on experience in DevOps working in AWS and/or Azure with Ansible
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory, certificate services, networking, cloud technologies, and infrastructure components including VMWare and HCI
- 2+ years of experience with at scripting languages including: PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Chef
