Description:
This role is to serve as the on-site escalation point of contact for clinicians seeking technical assistance on-site for 12 clinic locations sites across 35+ miles of Middletown NY. The role is needed to perform onsite troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and ask pertinent questions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day IT support operations at clinical locations using the ServiceNow ticketing system which includes traveling on site to clinics
- Provide white gloves services for end-user experience – such as: onboarding, technical installation of hardware, answering technical questions and following up with users
- IT Support for any escalations from a clinical location
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve a wide variety and range of hardware and software related problems with operating systems, applications (including vendor software packages), and network configuration; replacing parts as required
- Adapt to new technologies, process new information and help customers through technological changes. Improves and implements procedures as needed and/or assigned
- Execute project work which includes but not limited to the following:
- Work with the merger and acquisitions team to bring in new clinics into the Optum fold
- Assist real estate services with clinical refresh of IT equipment
- Assist the medical groups to bring in new technology to help improve workflow in the clinics
- Assist the medical groups to maintain IT readiness for day-today operations as well as events (flu clinics, training standups, etc.)
- Work with the merger and acquisitions team to bring in new clinics into the Optum fold

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 2+ years of full-time work experience in IT field providing IT Desktop Support
- 2+ years of experience installing software applications and performing hardware upgrades on desktop computers within a business environment as well as server infrastructure
- 2+ years of experience installing and supporting networked devices such as printers and scanners
- Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possess any of the following certifications: A+, Microsoft MCP or MCSE, CompTIA Network+ or a Cisco CCNA
The salary range for this role is $28.61 to $56.06 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
