This team is focused on products, solutions, platform/enabling capability development, product development lifecycle, engineering excellence and connectivity to Optum Technology.

 

Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for leading innovative projects? We are seeking a Director Technology to drive our RTS Checkout initiative. In this role, you will work with onshore and offshore teams to oversee the integration of advanced technologies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, report progress to executives, and ensure smooth project execution. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the RTS Checkout project, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes
  • Oversee the integration of ambient documentation generation, chart intelligence alerts, real-time claims adjudication, and autonomous coding
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project milestones and objectives
  • Report project progress and outcomes to the executive level
  • Identify and clear roadblocks to ensure smooth project execution
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in software development
  • 5+ years of experience in leadership roles
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects
  • Proficiency in .NET, Azure, AWS, AKS, and Docker
  • Proven solid understanding of software development and cloud technologies
  • Experience with real-time systems and data processing
  • Experience with SaaS systems and microservice based architectures

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in healthcare technology
  • Proven excellent communication skills, particularly in reporting to executives
  • Ability to be self-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to clear roadblocks and facilitate team progress
  • Proven solid leadership and team management skills
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to be adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment

The salary range for this role is $124,500 to $239,400 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
