Description:

As our Technical Delivery Lead, your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality software solutions while fostering effective communication and collaboration between teams. Your technical insights will be instrumental in debugging and maintaining the performance of our systems, and your leadership will drive the success of our development teams.

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and hold responsibility for the process and health of the scrum team (about 8-9 members per work stream)
  • Facilitate the agile process and coach 2-3 scrum teams to meet objectives, ensuring adherence to scrum cadences
  • Foster close cooperation across all roles and functions, removing barriers to collaboration
  • Ensure teams are audit compliant and manage releases while maintaining the health of the CI/CD pipeline
  • Collaborate with product management, QA, architecture, and key leaders to translate product roadmaps into successful delivery and customer value
  • Orchestrate the software development processes across business and technology teams to successfully deliver software releases
  • Lead teams of software developers, both locally and internationally
  • Work directly with customers to understand and address key technical needs
  • Drive continuous improvement in cross-functional processes through collaboration with business and technology teams
  • Stay informed about the platform strategy and roadmaps to inform technical staffing needs and align deliverables with business priorities
  • Perform special projects as needed to support the overall objectives of the organization
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues in code and databases
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the application platform capabilities to act as a subject matter expert across business functions

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 5+ years of experience in software delivery or technical project management
  • 2+ years of experience in a delivery lead or scrum master role
  • 1+ years of experience in delivering at least 3 medium-to-large scale software projects (multi-team, cross-functional, or involving 6+ engineers) on time and within scope
  • 1+ years of experience in leading Agile/Scrum ceremonies across at least 2 cross-functional teams concurrently
  • 1+ years of experience working with Jira and Agile delivery metrics (e.g., velocity, cycle time, burndown charts) to track and improve team performance
  • 1+ years of experience with identifying and removing delivery blockers resulting in measurable impact (e.g., improved sprint predictability by X%, reduced carryover by Y%)
  • 1+ years of experience collaborating with engineering, product, and QA teams to plan and execute quarterly or multi-sprint roadmaps

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, PMP) or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a software engineer or data engineer
  • Technical design and programming skills to engage with the development team
  • SQL experience
  • Experience with Jira, Looker, Power BI
  • Experience with SumoLogic, Grafana
  • Experience with Github, Jenkins, AWS
  • Experience with Java, Javascript, Python, PostgreSQL
  • Experience working with distributed or remote teams, with at least 1 year of proven success managing delivery across multiple time zones
  • Knowledge of Spring boot, Angular, React Native, Databricks, Ascend, Starburst
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, with a history of leading retrospectives and action planning that led to process improvements documented through metrics or team feedback
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with demonstrated ability to guide teams through all phases—from requirements gathering to deployment and post-release support
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, with experience coordinating releases using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
