Senior Clinical Program Consultant for Care In the Home

This individual will directly support the SVP and Chief Medical Officer of Care in the Home. As a strategist, organizer, and implementer, this position will assess new initiatives for alignment with the Care in the Home strategy, determine an initial approach, and align the program with the existing business structure. This role proactively assumes responsibility for leading and executing on new strategic initiatives and programs where needed, as well as responding to requests in support of the leadership team.

Primary Responsibilities:
- New Strategic Programs & Initiatives:
- Assess new opportunities for value and alignment to organizational priorities as well as frame up initial approach and structure to align with business areas
- Assumes leadership on designated new programs (Palliative Expansion, Vendor Management, etc.) that come to the team that lack a natural owner within the functionally organized team
- Responsible for working efforts through alignment to an existing business function or completion along with reporting status and results to leadership
- Program Management:
- Assist in completion of high priority tasks for leader to highest levels of quality
- Provide weekly status updates to leader on key progress & deliverables for new programs in addition to calling out areas with barriers
- Develop clear action items and track follow-up after meetings
- Assists in prioritization of leaders’ schedule and time allocation to support high priority work streams and initiatives
- Analyze and frame decisions for leaders and staff
- Business and Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Plans, coordinates, and prepares the resources and materials as well as manages agenda and follow up for recurring meetings
- Supports development of any recurring deliverables / reports / decks needing support
- Gathers and deciphers critical documents and information, investigates, and thoroughly answers critical questions, and ensures timely follow up of all action items
- Develop consistency about presentations and communications
- Organizational Alignment & Support:
- Assists the SVP and Chief Medical Officer to perform their duties to the best of their ability
- Ensure new programs that are approved are aligned appropriately within the existing leadership team
- Engages in and provides feedback on new programs and other key initiatives ensuring they are representative of senior leader’s goals and requirements

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years health industry experience and/or in a large complex matrixed organization experience
- 8+ years of project management and/or operational experience (operations, product development, marketing, finance, sales, etc.) managing significant and complex projects
- Demonstrated business acumen in financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting and solid understanding of operations
- Demonstrated strategic conceptualization both at a local level and enterprise level
- Proven ability to build relationships cross-functionally, at all levels of the organization and lead toward common goals
- Advanced MS PowerPoint and Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internal/external consultant or people management experience
- Clinical expertise
- Solid analytical skills; has direct experience; ability to quickly aggregate and analyze information and draw conclusions
- Solid communicator; capable of effectively presenting ideas and selling concepts and tactics; excellent writer, proven ability to communicate effectively with leader-levels; ability to quickly understand needs and act on those needs; ability to conceptualize and effectuate change management and ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
