Primary Responsibilities:

• Presentation Preparation: Create executive-level materials focused on affordability forecasting, risks, opportunities, and variance analysis
• Financial Modeling: Develop models and analytics to support decision-making
• Forecasting: Assist with quarterly financial forecasts and projections
• Business Interface: Build relationships with business leaders to support financial planning and performance measurement
• Monthly Reporting: Perform and analyze monthly reports to understand results against the financial plan
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various teams during budgeting and forecasting processes, consolidating financials across the enterprise
• Ad-Hoc Requests: Support leadership with ad-hoc financial requests
• Process Improvement: Leverage technology to improve processes
• Affordability Budgets: Develop and establish affordability budgets and forecasts with cross-functional teams
• Performance Analysis: Identify opportunities to drive program performance and develop recommendations
• Alignment with Finance: Ensure affordability programs align with financial thresholds
• Clinical Dashboards: Define clinical dashboards and key performance indicator reports
• Management Reporting: Develop and maintain management reports, review results with leadership, and communicate findings
• Forecasting and Reporting Alignment: Align affordability forecasts and reporting between national and local teams

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics
• 5+ years of experience in finance
• 5+ years of experience in MS Excel, MS Office product suite, and other technology tools
• 3+ years of experience in Power Query and Power BI
• Ability to work in a matrix environment while positively influencing other functional areas

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA
• Healthcare experience
• Hyperion Essbase experience
• Process improvement experience

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Solid people skills and the ability to influence others
• Ability to build solid relationships at all levels of the organization

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
